Filling:
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup boiling water
Mix filling
- Roll out dough thinly and spread filling.
- Roll up dough and slice in half lengthwise.
- With cut side up, place both halves side by side and twist together.
- Lift onto a greased loaf pan. Let rise for 25 min.
Crumb topping (optional)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Mix and sprinkle on babka
Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 25 min until babka is baked through.
Syrup
- Boil 3 tbsp water with 3 tbsp sugar until dissolved. Pour syrup over babka when babka is baked.
